About Decatur County Girls Softball Association
The Decatur County Girls Softball Association was formed in 1983 to promote recreational, slow-pitch softball for young girls of Decatur County. Over the past thirty years, the program has grown from a small local activity to a few hundred girls from Decatur County and the surrounding communities.
Our vision is to provide a wholesome summertime recreational activity that stresses the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship not only during game time but in all actions of one's life. The DCGSA also promotes responsibility and leadership in youth by employing them as game umpires and field preparation support.
Our program is divided into five leagues:

6U - Girls age 6 and under by January 1st; Slow pitch softball only

8U - Girls age 8 and under by January 1st; Slow pitch softball only

10U - Girls age 10 and under by January 1st; Slow and Fast pitch softball available

13U - Girls age 13 and under by January 1st; Slow and Fast pitch softball available
-
18U - Girls age 18 and under by January 1st; Slow and Fast pitch softball availalbe; this season starts after high school softball ends
